In a galaxy as expansive and mysterious as the Milky Way, it is unreasonable to think that there are no other life forms out there, but that is exactly what the government wants us to believe. They have denied the existence of Area 51, extraterrestrial life, and many other phenomena; however, the most important thing we can do is question everything.
According to Popular Mechanics, the government officially acknowledged the existence of area 51 in 2013, even though the US military has used it since 1954. It is located in the Nevada desert, and service and satellite are both unavailable throughout the area. In the summer of 1955, reports of “unidentified flying objects” were reported around Area 51. At the time, the government's official statements relating to the reports were that the sightings were “natural phenomena” due to “weather research.” The Air Force was actually testing U-2 aircraft at the time, but they could not release that information. In 2013, declassified CIA reports revealed that the testing of U-2 aircraft ended in the late Fifties. Since then, other aircraft tests have occurred, but as of now, the government will not release any information on they currently use the site for. Some students at Bowling Green High speculate that Area 51 is housing aliens. Dion Jackson, senior, said that “the idea that the government is harboring aliens is possible.”
Junior Molly Manley, who is very firm in her belief that the government is covering up the existence of aliens at Area 51, said, “I think the idea Area 51 housing aliens is definitely real.” She added, “Marilyn Monroe and John F. Kennedy had an affair and he knew about aliens, or another life form, being in Area 51 and told her. When the government found out, they thought she would tell the public, so the government had Marilyn Monroe die of an ‘overdose’ and a little over a year after, JFK was assassinated to cover their tracks.”
As if that isn’t sketchy enough, we’ve also uncovered the government's secrets concerning our own solar system. Planet X is supposedly a ninth planet in our solar system that will inevitably collide with Earth at any given moment. On the Mayan calendar, the world was predicted to end in 2012 after a collision with an unknown mass. Unbeknownst to the majority of the world’s population, this “end of the world” speculation was actually assumed to be the crashing of Earth with Planet X, which was spotted according to NASA.
Keeping secrets such as other life forms or extra planets from the public could have its benefits, but the negative effects are undeniable. Not knowing if there are other life forms out there or dangerous masses in the solar system is a great cause of concern. It is important for citizens to pay close attention to everything going on around them.
